Although I had a busy day, I still made time to write, which is what this is all about. Aside from not getting out of bed until 11AM today, I got my domestic goddessing out of the way early, for I have greater things to do on Wednesdays. I joined a little local writing group for North Houston writers, and tonight was our second meeting. I love these meetings. It gives me a chance to be around other writers who understand what the mind and the life of a writer needs. We are all introverts trying to live in an extroverted world. We’re shy, often nerdy and very needy in validation of our writing, which is why I fit right in. It’s perfect for my personality.
After the meeting, I rushed home because it was well after 9PM and I had writing to do! My selection for the evening was a new Riesling called Chateau Ste Michelle. My fiance picked it up at our local Specs, so I’m not sure how much it cost. It’s very sweet and I sipped it in between nibbles of two squares of Hershey Symphony with Toffee chocolate. I have to say, Yum Yum! To tone down the sweetness of it, I did the swirling thing again, which always mellows out a wine. It’s a great wine and I started feeling the effects halfway through the glass.
As far as the writing goes, I only got about 800 words done. Not too bad for a short night. I wrote and that’s the important part. I would love to say a year from now I am on the final chapters of the novel. Thanks to my goals I will keep going!
As always, Sláinte!

I was listening to an interview with Jack White and he made of comment of “create everyday”. Doesn’t matter if it’s shit, it probably will be, but something has to be created to improve it. It’s become one of my personal mantras. 🙂 (i think I just stumbled upon my topic for tomorrow)

I was so relieved to find that I wasn’t the only shy and nervous one. I’m loving these meetings, too.
I’m going to give your challenge a go starting tonight. I had intended to start last night, and lost track of time reading blogs. And well, I didn’t get much more done tonight, but it’s a start.
